We Have Tortured and Thereby Commited War Crimes, Says Ret. U.S. Major General

(posted by Mona)

CNN reports that 11 former detainees held by the United States in various sites, including Gitmo, have been examined thoroughly by physicians and show extensive evidence of having been abused or tortured. None was ever charged with a crime.

The [121-page report issued by Physicians for Human Rights ] is prefaced by retired U.S. Major Gen. Antonio Taguba, who led the Army’s investigation into the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal in 2003.

“There is no longer any doubt that the current administration committed war crimes,” Taguba says. “The only question is whether those who ordered torture will be held to account.”

A retired American Major General states that his nation — my nation — committed war crimes. (Of course, Taguba is prolly a Marxist-dhimmicrat.)

War crimes.

Is it now ok to be “unpatriotic” for being deeply ashamed of one’s country?
