		<description>I can't believe the newsreader trying to justify it in terms of 'high emotions'.

If they cannot control themselves then they have no business being police officers.

If a man beats a woman because she's slept with someone else, is that justified? His emotions will have been running high, but that is no excuse, and I doubt many would let him off on those grounds.

So much for equality under the law.</description>
