(Update) Gentlemen: Shred those Playboys to Build a Bright Economic Future; Hitler Would

(posted by Mona)

In the Second District of Indiana (in which I have lived on and off for the past almost 20 years), GOP congressional candidate, Tony Zirkle, shoves old Playboys into the shredder to solve the foreclosure and gas price problems. Zirkle:

…claimed to be the ‘pro-sex candidate’ and said by shredding the magazine he was trying ‘to set an example for men to put away their pornography and focus their attention on their wives.’

According to Zirkle, the national economy would boom ‘if more men were married and in healthy relationships,’ because their creativity and untapped talents would be released.

When Mr. Zirkle is not acting from his profound and astute economic insights, he joins in celebrating Hitler’s birthday. Really. And why not? Der Fuhrer had no use for teh pr0n, either.

Update: During this time of war, it is good to see that an actual Republican Congressman is working to keep Playboy out of the hands of our fine men in the military. Rep. Paul Broun, R-Ga, has 15 co-sponsors for his Military Honor and Decency Act, which will ensure that the naive and tender lads in the armed services cannot purchase Playboy or Penthouse at military-base exchange stores. Claims Reverend Rep. Broun:

“Allowing sale of pornography on military bases has harmed military men and women by escalating the number of violent, sexual crimes, feeding a base addiction, eroding the family as the primary building block of society, and denigrating the moral standing of our troops both here and abroad,” Broun said.

Altho:

Exchange officials noted that tax dollars are not used to procure magazines in the system’s largely self-funded operations.

…Broun’s spokesman John Kennedy contended that taxpayer dollars are involved — “used to pay military salaries, so taxpayer money is, in effect, being used to buy these materials,” he said.

It brings a tear to the eye, it does, to see GOP congresscritters so concerned about not using the taxpayers’ money for American military immorality.

    Wow.

Does the rosette imply that, had he not shot himself whilst biting down on a cyanide capsule, he would be with us today, 119 swastike-shaped candles on his enormous cake of hate?

  2. Bill White Says:

What’s funny is that Adolf Hitler already proved that, when more men and women are in married relationships and having and raising children, the economy does boom. That’s why, in Hitler’s Germany, young couples were given loans to buy homes, which were forgiven in one quarter increments each time they had a child. Hitler figured that the money spent raising the child would generate more tax revenue than the value of the loan and … he was right.

    Heil Hitler!

And may the lot of you get what you deserve — an opportunity to learn about the remedial effects of hard labor.

and denigrating the moral standing of our troops both here and abroad

Waterboarding, of course, is still A-OK, a salve to national honor, an important intelligence tool, an innovative technique for fighting terror, etc.

Bill White is a Godwin violation in himself. As a blog oriented to the left, sure have a knack for attracting WN types. How ’bout some Marxists instead?

At least we know state-sponsored natalism is fascist.

  5. Dain Says:

For what it’s worth, Kevin Carson is accused of being a Marxist by Walter Block.

  6. Dain Says:

State subsidized home loans? Oh Bill White, you’re such a socialist!

  7. Mona Says:

OK, I’ve vaguely heard about a Bill White who is at least flirting with the white supremacists. Is this guy that Bill White? Honestly, I was not sure how to take his comment, and assumed irony.

  8. TGGP Says:

Hitler figured that the money spent raising the child would generate more tax revenue than the value of the loan
    Isn’t that Keynesianism?

OK, I’ve vaguely heard about a Bill White who is at least flirting with the white supremacists
He’s not just flirting, he denounces Jared Taylor for associating with a Jewish-Korean and is in general full of shit.

  9. Mona Says:

    Thanks, TGGP.

Mr. White: I do not permit Nazis to promote Nazism in my threads. Do so again, and I will delete you. “Heil Hilter,” indeed. (vomiting)
